2009 Walk for Sickle Cell

4th Annual Walk for Sickle Cell
Sunday, September 6, 2009

Thank you to everyone who braved the heavy rain to come out and support us and walk for the cause. It was a real inspiration to see so many people come out under such conditions, but it really drove home the fact that we have such a tight knit community of people that realize the importance of raising awareness of Sickle Cell disease in the community. Thank you so much, we couldn't do it without you!

Child Health Advocacy Institute dinner, 10-7-08

The Child Health Advocacy Institute (CHAI) at Children's National Medical Center celebrated its one-year anniversary at a special event on Oct. 7. The highlight of the event was a keynote address by Bobby Engram, star wide receiver for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, who announced a partnership with Children's to support care and research in sickle cell disease.
